These blue caps fit over standard 2” (which is actually 1-1/2”) lumber. We use them for our ride on lift kits because it makes a nice surface to drive a personal watercraft onto. You can use them on your dock anywhere you need a little extra protection when you have an exposed 2x4, 2x6, 2x8 or 2x12.
